What is Clear Quartz?
Clear quartz is a kind of quartz family. It is transparent and translucent. The fully transparent quartz is also called colorless crystal. It belongs to the quartz family in mineralogy, and the main chemical component is silicon dioxide. The content of pure natural white crystal silicon dioxide is as high as 99.999%, the chemical formula is SiO2, and the natural crystal shape is hexagonal, which is called “king quartz”. Clear are the most widely distributed and the largest in the entire crystal group. Generally speaking, white crystal is quartz, but from our point of view, opaque is called quartz, and transparent is called white crystal.
The main origins of white crystal include Brazil, Africa, Uruguay and China. It belongs to the hexagonal crystal system and has a hardness of 7. The specific gravity is 2.6, and the refractive index is around 1.54-1.55.
