Nowadays, there are many skincare products for face slimming. Why do you use gua sha on face? And what do you gain from gua sha?
Gua sha is seen as a TCM(traditional Chinese Medicine) treatment which involves scraping the skin with massage oil in a downward motion to boost blood circulation and suppress fatigue and chronic pain. Gua sha is typically used to relieve pain in person’s body, but facial gua sha is also becoming more popular in the skincare industry. Facial gua sha promotes anti-aging by removing the appearance of wrinkles and restoring your skin’s naturla glow. And gua sha helps with slimming-the facial tightening skin to give you a slimmer face.

How To Use Gua Sha For Face Slimming
Warm tips: gua sha technique must be gentle. And you apply some skincare before scraping to help reduce friction in order to avoid pulling out fine lines or scratching facial skin.
Technique 1
- Starting from the eyebrow, scraping from inside out along the top pf the eyebrow to the temples, repeating 2-3 times on each side.
- Gently gua sha in spiral circles from the side of the nose to the top of the slope to just below the temple, and then gently gua sha in a circular motion from the corner of the mouth up to the bottom of the cheekbone, repeating 1-2 times on both sides.
- Starting from the chin, gently scrape in small circles upwards long the top of the jawbone to the front of the earlobe, repeating 1-2 times on each side.
- Lastly, taking the eyebrow as a starting point, along the side of the bridge of the nose, from the top to bottom in small circles lightly scraped to the nose, left and right repeat 1-2 times.
Technique 2
- The small corner of gua sha boards is used to gently scrape the face from top to bottom, from the bottom of the temples to the height of the earlobes, to help relieve headaches and the chewing muscles that are often unconsciously tightened during stress. Repeating 5 times for each side of the face.
- Also use the smaller corner of gua sha boards, from bottom to top lightly scraping massage under the ear lymph glands, location along the lower jawbone depression, starting with the lateral side of the throat, upward lightly to the bottom of the earlobe,repeating 5 times on both sides.
